Evvy raises $40M Series B to scale AI women’s health diagnostics
Evvy said it closed an oversubscribed $40 million Series B led by Catalio Capital Management. The women’s health company says the capital will validate a new generation of EvvyAI-powered diagnostic and care models across underserved conditions, starting with fertility, on top of its clinical-grade vaginal microbiome dataset.
Same-day HEALTH primary that a women’s-health diagnostics company closed a Catalio-led $40 million Series B to validate EvvyAI models starting with fertility — not another general-purpose chatbot, and not an FDA clearance.
Evvy, a women’s-health company, announced an oversubscribed $40 million Series B led by Catalio Capital Management. Series B is a later growth-funding round — after seed and Series A. Oversubscribed means more investors wanted in than the company took. The company release, carried on Business Wire and dated September 15, 2026, 9:00 AM EDT, is the filing event. These are company claims. This desk did not see the term sheet.
New investors on the wire: Catalio Capital Management, Rethink Impact, Muse Capital, and Alumni Ventures. Existing investors named: LabCorp Venture Fund, General Catalyst, Left Lane Capital, BBG Ventures, Amboy Street Ventures, Ingeborg, Foreground Capital, and Flywheel Ventures. File those names as Evvy’s. This desk is not inventing a valuation, an ownership split, or a check size. None was printed.
Founders, as the same release has it: Priyanka Jain, Laine Bruzek, and Pita Navarro, founded in 2021. Jain is co-founder and chief executive. File the names, the 2021 founding, and Jain’s title as the company’s.
Product, still company: a vaginal microbiome platform plus EvvyAI, its machine-learning engine. A microbiome is the community of microbes living in a body site. Evvy says patients get at-home testing, personalized treatment, and longitudinal biomarker tracking — watching the same biological markers over time. Every test, the company says, is powered by CLIA-certified, New York State CLEP-approved metagenomic sequencing. CLIA is the U.S. lab-quality rulebook. CLEP is New York’s extra lab-approval program, one of the stricter U.S. lab licenses. Metagenomic sequencing reads the DNA in a sample to see which microbes are there, not just a short list of usual suspects. Tests are ordered and interpreted by licensed clinicians and matched with prescription plans tailored to results and health history where relevant. File that stack as Evvy’s. This desk did not run a swab.
Company scale claims: more than 100,000 patients and 3,000 practitioners. The company calls its dataset the world’s largest proprietary, clinical-grade record of the vaginal microbiome and women’s health outcomes. The announcement graf says the platform has led to 13 peer-reviewed publications and abstracts, the identification of novel bacterial vaginosis — BV — subtypes, and the discovery of hundreds of previously uncatalogued vaginal microbiome genomes. The About box also says the Vaginal Health Test uncovers 700-plus microbes with one at-home swab. File 100,000-plus, 3,000, 13, the BV-subtype and genome lines, and 700-plus as Evvy’s. Extra About-box publication counts stay in Sources. This desk did not count patients, papers, or genomes.
Company-attributed outcome stats, still the wire’s: most patients come with vaginal symptoms or fertility challenges that standard testing has failed to explain. In the U.S., the company says, vaginal symptoms are a leading reason women seek care, yet patients face 50-percent-plus misdiagnosis rates and 60-percent-plus recurrence rates in traditional settings. Licensed clinicians using Evvy’s platform and EvvyAI, the company says, deliver a diagnosis to 90-percent-plus of symptomatic patients and a roughly 50-percent-plus cut in BV recurrence through targeted protocols, with those improvements “validated in peer-reviewed research.” File those rates as Evvy’s. This desk did not rerun the studies, and it is not treating EvvyAI as FDA-cleared. The Sep 15 wire does not claim FDA clearance for EvvyAI.
Capital use, company: clinical validation of new EvvyAI-powered diagnostic and care models across women’s-health conditions that Evvy says collectively cost the system more than $180 billion in underserved outcomes; expand distribution through physicians and partner channels; and continue a collaboration with US Fertility, which the company calls the nation’s largest fertility-clinic network, on the vaginal microbiome in fertility and reproductive health. File the $180 billion line and the US Fertility collaboration as Evvy’s. This desk did not audit that dollar figure or the clinic network rank.
Named voices on the wire: Jacob Vogelstein, co-founder and managing partner at Catalio Capital Management; and Priyanka Jain, co-founder and CEO. File the names and titles as the company’s. Their quotes are color only and stay in Sources. This is not investment advice.
Plain English for the rest of the card: Series B = later growth funding after seed and Series A. Microbiome = the community of microbes living in a body site. Metagenomic sequencing = reading the DNA in a sample to see which microbes are there. CLIA = U.S. lab-quality rules. CLEP = New York State’s extra lab-approval program. EvvyAI = Evvy’s machine-learning engine for those biological datasets. Longitudinal tracking = watching the same markers over time.
PRIMARY here: Evvy’s 15 Sep 2026 company announcement via Business Wire — Tier A company source, the original record — plus the same-day Business Wire syndicate reprint. The oversubscribed $40 million Series B, the Catalio lead, the named new and existing investors, the Jain / Bruzek / Navarro founders, the vaginal-microbiome platform and EvvyAI engine, the 100,000-plus patients / 3,000 practitioners, the 13 publications in the announcement graf, the 700-plus microbes, the 50-percent-plus / 60-percent-plus / 90-percent-plus / roughly-50-percent-plus outcome stats, the more-than-$180 billion underserved-outcomes line, the physician/partner distribution plan, and the US Fertility collaboration are company-attributed. NOT claimed: a valuation, FDA clearance for EvvyAI, independently verified outcome rates, that this desk reviewed a lab or a term sheet, a stock tip, or investment advice.
