Hugging Face rebuilds AUTOMATIC1111 image-generation tools as Gradio Workflow1111

Gradio authors published Workflow1111, rebuilding most of AUTOMATIC1111’s image-generation toolbox as a 73-node Gradio Workflow canvas with eleven media pipelines.

A popular image-generation toolbox now has a public Hugging Face rebuild you can click. The REST and agent-tool claims stay the authors’.

Yuvraj Sharma and Abubakar Abid published “Rebuilding AUTOMATIC1111 with Gradio Workflow” on the Hugging Face blog. AUTOMATIC1111 is a widely used open-source web interface for Stable Diffusion image generation. Gradio is Hugging Face’s toolkit for building model demos. That post is the filing event.

The post describes Workflow1111 as a graph of eleven media pipelines built from seventy-three nodes. Named pipelines include text-to-image, hi-res fix, img2img (image-to-image), prompt-matrix, VLM interrogate (a vision-language model reading an image back into text), detection-to-inpaint, ControlNet-style annotators, background removal, PNG Info, and image-to-video.

The authors say model calls use the signed-in user’s Hugging Face quota or access token. They say the Space — Hugging Face’s hosted demo — can be tried or duplicated on Hugging Face.

On the same post: every output node becomes a REST endpoint (a web address that returns a result), and those endpoints are also MCP tools if the app is launched as an MCP server.
