Knowtex named prime on VA’s $775.72M ambient scribe contract

25 Sep 2026 (ET): Knowtex said the VA Technology Acquisition Center selected it as one of two prime awardees on the Ambient Scribe Enterprise IDIQ — a five-year multiple-award vehicle with a shared $775.72 million ceiling — expanding AI that drafts clinical notes so providers can face the Veteran, not the keyboard.

HEALTH desk — a nine-figure IDIQ is how a federal health system buys software for years, and Knowtex says this note-writing AI is already open for thousands of VA clinicians. The prime seat is the vehicle those orders can run through. The useful question is whether the draft note gives the clinician the visit back, face to face with the Veteran.
