Parcel Perform rebrands as Perform.AI, launches AI Commerce OS
Perform.AI (formerly Parcel Perform) launched its AI Commerce Operating System — covering AI Commerce Visibility, Checkout, Post-Purchase, and Returns with Logistics underneath — and said merchant teams can connect to Perform.AI data through the Model Context Protocol (MCP) inside the AI tool they already use.
SOFTWARE desk — agentic commerce forces brands to prove delivery performance to machines, not just ads to humans. Agentic commerce means a shopper’s software agent picks the brand.
What the system is supposed to cover. The release says the operating system does the job end to end, from a merchant being found to the parcel being delivered, on one system. It runs AI Commerce Visibility, Checkout, Post-Purchase, and Returns. Logistics, the release says, does the daily work underneath by collaborating with shipping partners. Behind that, AI Decision Intelligence reads the data, holds a view on what should happen next, and acts on it, optimizing for gross margin. Gross margin is the money left after the direct cost of the goods, before overhead. An operating system, in this release, means one system that runs those commerce steps. It is not the software that boots a laptop. File that map as the company’s. This desk did not place an order through it.
How a team is supposed to ask the system questions. The release says that once an online store is live on Perform.AI, marketing, logistics operations, and customer service can connect to Perform.AI data through the Model Context Protocol, shortened to MCP, and get answers about their store inside the AI tool they already work in. MCP is a shared plug. It lets an AI tool the team already uses read another system’s data, instead of making everyone open a separate dashboard. The page names those three teams. It does not name the AI tools. Do not add a product name the page left blank. File the connection as the company’s. This desk did not connect one.
The scale lines are the company’s, and they are not a count this desk made. Perform.AI says the system runs on more than 100 billion parcel updates a year for thousands of brands, with 1,100+ carrier integrations across 160+ countries. A parcel update is one status message about a shipment, such as picked up or out for delivery. A carrier integration is a link to a shipping company. More than 100 billion a year is on the order of hundreds of millions of updates a day if the year is even. That is the company’s volume line. The same paragraph says the system reads that data and acts on it: catching a delay before a customer emails to ask, and picking the cheapest carrier that is most likely to hit a promised date. Those are examples the company names. This desk did not count the updates, the brands, or the carriers, and it did not time a delay.
Who the company says it is selling to now. Dr. Arne Jeroschewski, co-founder and chief executive, said a brand now sells to the person who buys and to that person’s AI, which picks only the brands that keep their promises. He said the agent looks for the best product, at the best price, with the fastest delivery. In the same release he said loyalty does not move an AI agent, and advertising does not either, but consistent performance does. He also said the company announced AI Commerce Visibility in October 2025, so a brand can see how AI recommends the product lines it actually sells, not just the brand name, and what AI says about delivery and returns. October 2025 is his sentence on this page. This desk did not open a separate October page. A quote is not a measured recommendation rate.
Two more voices, as color only. Jeroschewski said that for ten years, online-store software offered the same deal: buy the tool, do the work yourself, with fifteen tabs and fifteen logins, and every decision still stitched together by the team. He said Perform.AI does that work in one system, so teams focus on the strategic decisions. Dana von der Heide, co-founder and chief customer officer, said the company started as Parcel Perform ten years ago, that performance was the outcome customers wanted, and that a parcel was just the unit of work they began with. Jeroschewski also said the company is not renaming itself so much as naming what it has already become, and that the new name follows an internal change in how it scopes, develops, and ships software. File the names, the titles, and those sentences as the release’s. A quote is not a customer list.
The about box, and what the page leaves blank. Perform.AI calls itself the AI Commerce Operating System for ambitious brands. It says that in agentic commerce, performing is what gets a brand recommended, so the system runs the delivery promise, the post-order experience, and the return as one system that acts on what needs fixing, with logistics carrying the daily work of the delivery promise. Agentic commerce, here, means a shopper’s software agent helps choose the brand. Founded in 2016 as Parcel Perform, the company became Perform.AI in September 2026. The page does not print a price, a named merchant who switched this week, or an independent audit of the 100 billion updates. Do not add them.
Plain English for the rest of the card: AI Commerce Operating System = one system the company says runs being found, checkout, the time after the order, and returns. Logistics = the shipping work underneath, with the carriers. AI Decision Intelligence = the layer the company says reads the data and acts, aiming at gross margin. gross margin = money left after the direct cost of the goods. MCP = Model Context Protocol, a shared plug so an AI tool can read Perform.AI’s data. parcel update = one status message about a shipment. 100 billion a year, thousands of brands, 1,100+ carriers, and 160+ countries are the company’s figures. agent = software that picks a brand for a shopper. This filing is the 22 Sep launch and rename. It is not a counted install base.
PRIMARY here: Perform.AI’s 22 Sep 2026 PR Newswire release, “Perform.AI Launches AI Commerce Operating System,” stamped 03:06 ET and datelined Singapore, Berlin, and Chicago — Tier A PRIMARY, the company’s own record. The rename from Parcel Perform, the end-to-end map of AI Commerce Visibility, Checkout, Post-Purchase, and Returns, Logistics with shipping partners, AI Decision Intelligence optimizing for gross margin, the MCP connection for marketing, logistics operations, and customer service, the more-than-100-billion parcel updates, the thousands of brands, the 1,100+ carrier integrations, the 160+ countries, the delay and cheapest-carrier examples, the Jeroschewski title and the human-and-agent quotes, the October 2025 visibility sentence, the fifteen-tabs line, the von der Heide title and quote, the 2016 founding, and the September 2026 name change are the release’s. NOT claimed: a price, a named merchant who switched this week, that this desk counted the updates or the carriers, that this desk connected an MCP client or placed an order, that the October 2025 line was re-checked on a second page, a stock tip, or investment advice.
