Pindrop ships BotStopper — detect AI voice agents on the call line

Pindrop’s company newsroom said it launched Pindrop BotStopper™, a standalone product that detects AI voice agents and automated callers in real time as calls hit the contact center. The company says the solution is available today; existing Pulse for Call Center customers get BotStopper and AI Voice Consortium access at no extra cost.

SAFETY desk — same-day company primary that a major voice/deepfake security vendor put a standalone AI-agent caller detector into available-today status, as contact centers face machine-scale AI voice traffic and need a clear human-vs-agent read before trust and access decisions.

Standalone, as the same page has it: BotStopper is available to any enterprise, in any industry, with no other Pindrop product required. File that any-enterprise / no-other-product-required picture as Pindrop’s. This desk did not open a customer account. The newsroom does not print a list price. This desk is not inventing one.

Engine, still company: BotStopper is built on Pindrop Pulse®, the deepfake detection engine that answers one question in about two seconds — is this a human or a machine? Pulse for Call Center is already deployed at enterprises to catch synthetic voices. BotStopper takes that same engine and applies it to AI agents and automated callers hitting the contact center at scale. File that Pulse / about-two-seconds / human-or-machine picture as Pindrop’s. This desk did not time a call or audit the engine.

Registry, company: a new AI Voice Consortium — a registry of more than 5,000 AI voices in a Pindrop-managed database — lets BotStopper recognize known AI agents, not just flag that a voice is synthetic. The consortium is a new source of intelligence for the Pindrop Intelligence Network, or PIN. File that 5,000-plus / know-which-agent picture as Pindrop’s. This desk did not inspect the registry.

Existing customers, still company: current Pindrop Pulse for Call Center customers receive BotStopper and access to the AI Voice Consortium at no additional cost. File that no-extra-cost line as Pindrop’s. This desk did not check a customer invoice.

Named company voice: Vijay Balasubramaniyan, CEO and co-founder of Pindrop. He says the goal is not to block AI agents — legitimate agents will call enterprises on behalf of real customers and should be welcomed — and that BotStopper is the first step: it tells you in about two seconds that the caller is a machine, and the AI Voice Consortium tells you which one. File the name, title, and that not-block-legitimate-agents / first-step line as his, via Pindrop. His other quotes are color only and stay in Sources.

Healthcare deployment, company-reported — attribute, do not independently audit: in one Fortune 500 healthcare deployment, real-time bot detection helped reduce bot activity by 94.3% in under four months after the organization identified more than 30,000 bot calls in less than a year. On the same page, bot calls at one leading healthcare organization peaked at 6,668 in a single month, when about $15.1 million in HSA balances — health savings accounts, tax-advantaged medical money — were exposed to risk. File the 94.3% / more-than-30,000 / 6,668 / $15.1 million lines as Pindrop’s customer anecdote. This desk did not sit with that organization or recount the calls.

Named customer voice on the release: Amy Axbom, senior capability manager at UnitedHealth Group / Optum Financial. She says Pindrop Pulse helps the team detect bot activity and identify risk before it reaches customer advocates. File the name, title, affiliation, and that Pulse-bot-detection line as hers, via Pindrop. This is a Pulse quote on the BotStopper launch page — not a second named BotStopper case study. Her other quotes are color only and stay in Sources. This desk did not interview Axbom.

Benchmark, company cite — not a re-test this desk ran: in a June 2026 Podonos benchmark of audio deepfake detection systems, Pindrop says Pulse was one of only four systems to exceed 95% accuracy and was identified by Podonos as the fastest accurate detector evaluated. File that four-systems / 95% / fastest-accurate line as Pindrop’s cite of Podonos. This desk did not rerun the benchmark or read the full Podonos report independently.

Same-day platform color, keep brief: the launch anchors a broader Identity Trust Platform expansion announced at Pindrop’s customer conference — Pulse for Meetings adding continuous video analysis during screen sharing and hiring-platform integrations, plus a Fraud Investigation Agent and an Enrollment Agent showcased for fraud and risk teams. File that meetings / hiring / agent-showcase picture as same-day company color. This filing is BotStopper available-today only. This desk did not watch the conference.

About-box context, optional and company-attributed: Pindrop says it is trusted by 14 of the top 20 U.S. banks, five of the top seven insurers, and three of the largest healthcare providers. PIN is built from more than 8 billion analyzed interactions. File those about-box lines as Pindrop’s. This desk did not recount banks or audit the interaction total. This desk is not inventing other customer counts.

Plain English for the rest of the card: BotStopper = software that tells a contact center “this caller is a machine / AI agent” in real time. Pulse = Pindrop’s deepfake and voice-detection engine. AI Voice Consortium = a registry of known AI voices so an enterprise can recognize which agent is calling. PIN = Pindrop Intelligence Network, the company’s shared fraud-and-threat database. contact center = the phone and chat queues that take customer calls. deepfake = a synthetic voice or face made to sound or look like a real person. HSA = health savings account, tax-advantaged medical money. GA / available today = offered to buy or use now, not a beta or preview.

PRIMARY here: Pindrop’s 16 Sep 2026 company newsroom page — Tier A PRIMARY company source, the original record. The BotStopper product page is product-home context, not a second originating newsroom. The BotStopper launch, the available-today line, standalone / any-enterprise / no-other-product-required, the Pulse / about-two-seconds human-or-machine engine, the AI Voice Consortium 5,000-plus voice registry inside PIN, existing Pulse for Call Center customers receiving BotStopper and consortium access at no additional cost, the Balasubramaniyan title and not-block-legitimate-agents line, the Fortune 500 healthcare 94.3% / more-than-30,000 / 6,668 / $15.1 million anecdote, the Axbom / Optum Financial Pulse quote, the June 2026 Podonos cite, the meetings / hiring / Fraud Investigation Agent / Enrollment Agent conference color, and the 14-of-top-20-U.S.-banks / 8-billion-interactions about-box are company-attributed. Deployment stats, the Podonos cite, and warranty language stay company-attributed — not independently audited here. NOT claimed: list prices, independently verified accuracy percentages beyond the company Podonos cite, U.S. bank customer counts beyond the company “14 of the top 20” about-box, that BotStopper blocks all AI callers, that this desk tested BotStopper, a stock tip, or investment advice.
