Positron raises $875 million to tape out inference silicon

Confirmed 10 Sep 2026 company release. Asimov is scheduled to tape out late 2026. Shipping performance is still a future tense.

10 Sep 2026: Positron AI said it raised $875 million in Series C financing at a $5 billion post-money valuation, with a Reno dateline on PR Newswire.

The company said the round was co-led by NEA, Atreides Management, Valor Equity Partners, Andra Capital, Dylan Patel’s SemiAnalysis Capital, and Jim Clark.

Positron: the raise funds tape-out of Asimov on TSMC N3P at the end of 2026, production in the second half of 2027, and the Titan system ramp. It claims 288 GB to 2,304 GB of memory per Asimov chip and LPDDR5X instead of HBM.

The release says more than 50 racks of first-generation Atlas are deployed at Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, with additional Atlas customers including Jump Trading and i3d.net. Those are company claims.

Reuters the same day: the startup had raised $230 million in February at a $1.06 billion valuation, per PitchBook, and described the new money as two tranches — $375 million Series C and a Series C-1 of up to $500 million.

A confirmed inference-chip raise at $5 billion. The architecture pitch is the company’s. We have not run the part.
