Tandem Health raises $100M Series B to build an AI clinic OS for Europe

Stockholm healthtech Tandem Health said it raised $100 million in Series B funding led by the Scaleup Europe Fund, managed by EQT — the fund’s first healthcare investment.

Europe just put serious public–private scaleup money behind clinic-floor AI — not another U.S. scribe clone story, but a CE-marked assistant pitching to become the operating layer for European care providers.

Tandem Health, a Stockholm healthtech company, said on its newsroom that it raised $100 million in Series B funding. Series B is a later startup funding round — the one after early seed money and Series A. The lead investor is the Scaleup Europe Fund, managed by EQT. That 14 Sept 2026 company page is the filing event. This desk is not saying a valuation was disclosed. It was not.

The company says this is the Scaleup Europe Fund’s first investment in healthcare, and the first healthcare AI company the fund has backed. File that as Tandem’s claim about the fund. The fund, as Tandem’s about-box describes it, is a commercially driven pot of public and private capital targeting €5 billion for European tech companies.

Existing backers also joined, the company says: Kinnevik, Northzone, Amino Collective, and Visionaries. File the names as Tandem’s list.

The company says the round follows a $50 million Series A in 2025, and that total funding is now $160 million. Those figures are Tandem’s. This desk did not see a separate close statement for the Series A today.

Tandem frames its product as an AI Medical Assistant: software that writes a pre-visit summary, offers clinical decision support during the consult — suggestions while the clinician is with the patient — then handles documentation, coding, and task management afterward. The next step, the company says, is an “AI-native Clinic Operating System.” A clinic OS, as Tandem uses the phrase, is software that runs day-to-day clinic operations — not just note-taking. It names patient-flow work: triaging, scheduling, and communications.

Company claims, all Tandem’s: used by 10,000 care organisations across 14 European markets; integrated with more than 130 medical record systems; CE marked under the EU Medical Device Regulation (MDR) — the European rulebook for medical devices, with CE as the mark that a device meets those rules. It says it holds Class IIa certifications — a mid-level device class, stricter than a simple tool, short of an implant — for its AI Scribe, Coding Assistant, and Clinical Decision Support. It also names ISO 27001, ISO 13485, and ISO 42001, plus regional security marks on the page: C5 in Germany, ENS High in Spain, and HDS in France. File the counts and certificates as company claims. This desk did not audit usage or the certificates.

The company cites peer-reviewed research in JMIR Medical Informatics: clinicians using Tandem report 29% less time on admin, 30% better job satisfaction, and 30% less administrative stress. Those are study- and company-cited figures. They are not Bad Signal-measured, and they are not a clinical-outcome trial.

Lukas Saari, CEO and co-founder, quoted on the company page: “Europe should be setting the standard for how AI enters healthcare, not adopting someone else’s.” Nils Petter Nygaard, Managing Director at EQT and the Scaleup Europe Fund, quoted on the same page: Tandem “already supporting more than 10,000 care organisations,” and “We believe Tandem has the potential to become a foundational AI layer for European healthcare over the coming decades.” File the quotes. This is not investment advice.

Same-day press wraps, not a second originating source for the raise amount: Tech.eu’s John Reynolds reported the $100 million Series B and said Tandem did not disclose the valuation. Tech.eu also notes the Scaleup Europe Fund previously backed Mistral and Iceye — context for the fund, not a new Tandem product. Tech Funding News carried a same-day mirror. Do not treat either as a second primary for the $100 million figure.

CONFIRMED here: Tandem Health’s 14 Sept 2026 company newsroom. Same-day C press mirrors on Tech.eu and Tech Funding News. NOT claimed: a valuation, revenue, a user-growth chart, independently audited usage, or clinical outcomes beyond the company-cited JMIR figures. Distinct from the already-filed i3lung-ai-nsclc-immunotherapy and openai-codex-chatgpt-antimicrobials — different HEALTH tracks, not this raise.
