Oracle Health Clinical AI Agent ships for U.S. nurses to cut charting and speed care

Oracle Health said its Clinical AI Agent is now available to nurses in the United States, sitting inside the Oracle Health Foundation electronic health record — the hospital’s digital chart — so nurses can use voice to search a patient’s record, read a short AI summary of the current condition, and fill in structured notes at the bedside.

Nurses still lose a lot of a shift to hunting through charts and typing after they clock out. A major electronic-health-record vendor just put a voice-and-summary agent on the inpatient floor — Oracle’s claim, not a measured hours-saved study for nurses.

Oracle Health said via PR Newswire from Austin, Texas, that the Oracle Health Clinical AI Agent for nurses is now available in the United States. The tools are meant for inpatient settings — hospital wards, not a clinic waiting room — and sit inside Oracle Health Foundation EHR. Three pieces, as Oracle lists them: voice-driven chart navigation and search; AI-powered acute nursing summaries; and voice-enabled discrete charting. Discrete charting means filling the numbered boxes and checklists the hospital already uses — a pain score, a set of vitals — rather than writing a long free-text note. Voice commands in everyday language, Oracle says, help a nurse find information across the patient record. Acute nursing summaries are short overviews of history and current condition, meant to cut manual chart review.
