Phrase ships Atlas GA so teams run localization work by chatting with the platform

Phrase announced general availability of Atlas, a conversational AI interface built directly into the Phrase Language Intelligence Platform. Users can configure multilingual projects, build automation workflows, generate reports, and troubleshoot issues in natural language. The company says Atlas is available now to all Phrase Platform customers.

SOFTWARE desk — same-day company primary that a major language/localization platform put conversational AI control of its full stack into GA for every customer seat, not just specialists.

What it does, as the same newsroom has it: any team member can configure multilingual projects, build AI automation workflows, generate reports, and troubleshoot issues using natural language. Natural language here means ordinary sentences — not a specialist setup screen. The company says Atlas understands how capabilities in the Phrase Platform connect, so a user can describe the outcome and the platform executes it. File that chat-to-configure picture as Phrase’s. This desk did not open a Phrase project.

Four jobs named on the same page, still company: configure projects, language pairs, translation workflows, and team assignments in a single request; build Phrase Orchestrator automation by describing the desired outcome, without learning Orchestrator’s visual builder; generate reports and performance data by asking questions in plain language; troubleshoot issues and answer product questions on the spot. Phrase Orchestrator is Phrase’s automation builder — the tool that chains localization steps so work can run without someone clicking each one. File those four jobs as Phrase’s. This desk did not build a workflow or pull a report.

Control, company: everything Atlas builds stays visible and editable in the Phrase Platform. Users keep control over every configuration and workflow. If you are already inside the platform, the company says Atlas can work alongside you and offer context-aware help. File that visible-and-editable / you-keep-control picture as Phrase’s. This desk did not watch a change log.

Early access, company-reported — attribute, do not independently audit: more than 60 enterprise teams across travel, retail, e-commerce, technology, and gaming used Atlas during early access. Named company anecdotes on the same page: a global travel platform reviewed and fixed quality settings across 59 project templates in one session, work the company says would have taken a full day; a major retailer asked Atlas to scan three connected projects, find language-coverage gaps, and fill all 66 of them; an enterprise HR software company checked 782 jobs across five languages in minutes. File the more-than-60 and those 59 / 66 / 782 lines as Phrase’s early-access anecdotes. This desk did not sit with those teams or time the work.

Named customer voice on the release: Florian Stürmer of Bitly. He says Atlas lets him build automation workflows that previously needed specialist support, and calls it one of the best Phrase features he has seen. File the name, the Bitly affiliation, and that automation line as his, via Phrase. His other quotes are color only and stay in Sources. This desk did not interview Stürmer.

Named company voice: Georg Ell, CEO of Phrase. He says the most sophisticated customers have built advanced automation, and Atlas is meant so any customer — a marketer, developer, or project manager with no specialist experience — can build the same kind of automation in a single conversation. File the name, title, and that every-seat line as his, via Phrase. His other quotes are color only and stay in Sources.

Context only, not today’s dateline: earlier this year Phrase introduced Zero-Touch Localization, which the company says detects new content, translates it, and returns it to the codebase with no human action required. Atlas is a separate ship. Do not date Atlas as that earlier Zero-Touch launch. File Zero-Touch as Phrase context for the same platform, not as today’s GA. This filing is Atlas general availability only.

Availability, company: Atlas is available now to all Phrase Platform customers. The newsroom points readers to phrase.com/platform/atlas. File that available-now / all-customers line from the company newsroom. This desk did not open a customer account. The release does not print a price. This desk is not inventing one.

About-box context, optional and company-attributed: Phrase calls itself a Language Intelligence Platform. The about box names brands such as Uber, Zendesk, and Volkswagen among customers, plus language-service providers and systems integrators. File those names as Phrase’s about-box. This desk did not audit a customer roll.

Plain English for the rest of the card: localization = adapting software and content for other languages and markets. GA = generally available, shipping to customers, not just a preview. Atlas here = Phrase’s conversational product, not MongoDB Atlas the cloud database. Phrase Orchestrator = Phrase’s automation builder for chaining localization steps. language pair = the from-language and to-language on a job, such as English to Japanese. Zero-Touch Localization = an earlier Phrase feature that auto-detects and translates new content — context only, not today’s launch.

PRIMARY here: Phrase’s 15 Sep 2026 company newsroom release — Tier A PRIMARY company source, the original record. The phrase.com/platform/atlas product page is product-home context, not a second originating newsroom. The Atlas GA, the available-now / all Phrase Platform customers line, the conversational interface inside the Phrase Platform, the configure / Orchestrator-automation / reports / troubleshoot jobs, the visible-and-editable / you-keep-control picture, the more-than-60 early-access teams, the travel / retailer / HR company anecdotes, the Stürmer / Bitly line, the Ell title, and Zero-Touch Localization as earlier context — not today’s dateline — are company-attributed. Early-access anecdotes stay company-attributed — not independently verified here. NOT claimed: pricing, ARR, independent usage metrics, that this desk tested Atlas, a stock tip, or investment advice. Distinct from the already-filed fotor-agent, creatify-boreal-launch, salesforce-aiforce, momentus-max-for-sales, esentire-atlas-aidr, and deepmind-alphagenome-atlas. Not MongoDB Atlas.

On 15 Sep 2026 Phrase announced general availability of Atlas, a conversational AI interface built directly into the Phrase Platform. Localization means adapting software and content for other languages and markets — the words in an app, the help pages, the ads. Generally available, or GA, means the company says the product is shipping to customers, not just a preview. The company PRIMARY is Phrase’s newsroom release “Phrase Launches Atlas, Bringing Conversational AI to Global Product and Content Operations,” dated September 15, 2026, and datelined BOSTON, USA. Atlas here is Phrase’s product. It is not MongoDB Atlas, the cloud database. That company newsroom page is the filing event. These are company claims. This desk did not run Atlas.
