Business Insider reported that Anthropic has selected Nasdaq for a potential IPO and has been targeting an October listing, citing a person familiar with the company’s plans — a tip Anthropic has not publicly stated.
One of the largest possible AI listings now has a named exchange in a same-day tip. It is still unnamed-source reporting, not a company announcement.
Business Insider’s Katie Roof reported that Anthropic has selected Nasdaq for its potential IPO, according to a person familiar with the company’s plans. The Business Insider page is timestamped 13 Sep 2026, 16:01 UTC. That Roof dispatch is the filing event. This is unnamed-source reporting. Anthropic has not publicly stated the exchange or a listing date.
Business Insider says the company has been targeting an October listing.
BI notes Nasdaq also secured the SpaceX listing earlier this year. The same piece cites SpaceX valued at $1.75 trillion and says some estimates have put Anthropic at $2 trillion, though that figure has not yet been finalized. Keep the $2 trillion line as a reported estimate — not a locked deal term, not an IPO price, and not a finalized valuation. $1.75 trillion is one trillion seven hundred fifty billion dollars. $2 trillion is two trillion dollars.
Business Insider says Anthropic’s IPO filing has not yet been made public. The company will need to release financials at least 15 days before it begins its investor road show — the 15-day rule is the usual U.S. Countdown between published numbers and the sales tour.
Reuters (Ananya Palyekar in Bengaluru) repeats the Business Insider report — Anthropic selected Nasdaq for a potential IPO, citing a person familiar with the company’s plans — without adding a new primary company statement.
